Bridges to Independence is Hiring a DSP (Direct Support Professional) Near Delaware, OH
Bridges to Independence, Inc. strongly believes that every person deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential. At the present time, we are looking for individuals to fill the role of Direct Support Professionals, experience is a plus, but If you have no experience, we will PAY YOU to train you. We serve DELAWARE, FRANKLIN, MARION and CRAWFORD counties. The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with developmental disabilities. If you have prior experience working with the developmentally disabled in a direct care role, or you're a person who wants to "give back," we encourage you to apply for this position. Experience with Anywhere EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) Program a plus. We currently have a need for overnight staff.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide supervision and guidance while building skills
- Implement individual support plans
- Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals, assisting with personal hygiene, and recreation
- Develop a rapport and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
- Update service delivery and progress notes on a daily basis
Qualifications and skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Ohio driver license
- Current/Valid Auto Insurance
- Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
